Athletic Fence Mesh Banners | Stadium & Field Windscreen Graphics

Sale price$169.00

Chain-link reads as nothing from the bleachers. A printed windscreen on it reads as a stadium. These are full-color mesh banners in the widths athletic fence runs actually come in, perforated so wind passes through the material instead of pushing on your posts.

They go on outfield and foul-line fences, football sidelines, tennis court enclosures and track perimeters, and they carry whatever the fence is there to say — school crest, program name, or the booster sponsors paying for the season.

What you get

  • Custom printed mesh banner, full color across the front face
  • Heat-welded hems all the way around
  • Brass grommets at 2 ft. centers on every edge
  • White or black backing — tell us which when you send artwork

Specifications

  • Stock widths: 10 ft., 15 ft. and 20 ft.
  • Stock heights: 3 ft., 4 ft., 5 ft. and 6 ft.
  • Material: micro-perforated mesh vinyl, which lets wind through rather than catching it like a solid banner
  • Print: UV inks, full color, front face
  • Finishing: heat-welded perimeter hems, rust-proof brass grommets
  • Mounting: nylon zip ties or bungee balls through the grommets onto chain-link

Black backing or white backing

Black backing blocks what is behind the fence, so artwork on the front holds its contrast against a bright sky or a parking lot. It is the usual choice for baseball, softball and tennis, where a clean sightline behind the ball matters. White backing gives a plain bright finish on the reverse, which suits a perimeter fence where people walk on both sides.

Working out how many you need

Measure the total run in feet and divide by 10, 15 or 20 depending on which width you want. Measure the fence height as well — athletic chain-link is usually 4 ft. or 6 ft. — and match the banner height to it so the top row of grommets lands on the top rail and the bottom row sits near the ground.

If the run does not divide cleanly, or the fence is an odd height, a custom size mesh banner is priced by the square foot and cut to whatever you measure.

Installation

Two people and a bag of heavy-duty zip ties. Tie the two top corners first, pull the banner taut along the top rail, then work down the sides and across the bottom. Grommets at 2 ft. centers means about fourteen ties on a 10 ft. x 4 ft. banner. Grounds crews and booster volunteers do this without any special equipment.

Sponsor sets

Most fence banners are paid for by local sponsors rather than out of the athletic budget, one banner per sponsor. A full set can be printed as one order and shipped together, which is usually cheaper and always simpler than ordering them one at a time as sponsors sign.
